Jason Wright is a fellowship-trained certified emergency medicine physician assistant and the most recent addition to the team of primary care providers at St. Vincent Family Health Center. He sees patients of all ages for annual physicals, preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic health conditions. He’s accepting new patients now.
A versatile provider with a breadth of experience that includes emergency care, urgent care, internal medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, OB/GYN and more, Jason is a true general practitioner. His motto? “World class healthcare one patient at a time,” he says.
Jason earned his bachelor’s in biology, with a minor in chemistry and French, from the University of North Texas. He joined the Army and became a paramedic, then was accepted into the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) where he earned his master’s of physician assistant studies degree, graduating with honors. As an active-duty physician assistant, his work included multiple tours in combat zones, a distinguished list of achievements and several leadership roles.
Jason has lived in many places around the world with his military background but comes to St. Vincent most recently from Texas. He’s married to Janae Wright, who serves as Chief Nursing Officer for St. Vincent. The couple have four children and one dog, Zoe. In their rare leisure time, you likely find them recreating outside.
“We enjoy all activity outdoors but my main passion is mountain biking,” says Jason. “I love to ride the Colorado Trail!”
